Transition Sooke contributes to development of Community Economic Development Strategy

As a non-profit organization, Transition Sooke completed a survey to assist in the development of Sooke’s Community Economic Development Strategy. The Strategy was released at the end of September 2021 and a number of members of Transition Sooke including members of the Local Economy Working Group, submitted comments. We eagerly await the next draft.

Working Group addresses Community Economic Development Committee

The Local Economy Working Group addressed the Community Economic Development Committee, one of the advisory committees of the Sooke Council, at its regular meeting on June 25, 2021. Transition Sooke Board Member and Local Economy Working Group co-ordinator Jo Phillips gave a presentation on Transition Sooke’s vision for a local economy in Sooke. Transition Sooke’s response to development on Eustace Road
